Welcome letter to my new students
Welcome to LINC Home Study Program! My name is Babak, and I am your teacher. I will contact you once a week by phone or on Skype at the time we both have agreed on, and we will have a 30-minute class. I will make sure to always call you at that time, but if for some reason, I cannot keep the appointment, I will try my best to inform you ahead of time. If for some reason, you cannot keep the appointment, please e-mail me at email@example.com or leave me a message on Skype (babak.mansouri) in advance so that we can reschedule your class during the same week. When we have a class, I will always encourage you to ask questions, so please write down any questions you may have, and keep them handy, so that we can discuss them when I call you.
Please consider the following carefully:
You must study for at least 5 hours a week in this program. I can check your online activity and the exercises you have done.
Be available and prepared for your class at the scheduled time. Log in LINC Home Study website, check your marked homework on "my messages" tab and get ready for my call.
You may be withdrawn from the program if you frequently miss your appointments or need to be absent for more than 2 weeks.
Your homework for the first week of class is your biography. Please write one page about yourself (e.g., your education, family, immigration, job, future goals,...), and e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org before our second class. I would like to see your writing.
If you have any questions from one class to the next, please e-mail me. E-mail is the best way to contact me as I usually check my e-mail a few times a day.
Before our next class, please go through this website, and check all the items on the menu. We'll talk about these items in more detail later.
